The central newspapers are Rodong Sinmun, Minju Joson, Pyongyang Sinmun and Chongnyon Jonwi, and there are also provincial papers. Also there are the Korean Central News Agency, Korean Central Radio Station, Pyongyang Radio Station, and provincial, city and county broadcasting stations. The Korean Central, Ryongnamsan and other TV stations provide TV services.
As for publishing houses, there are the Workers’ Party of Korea Publishing House, Kumsong Youth Publishing House, Foreign Languages Publishing House, Science and Encyclopedia Publishing House, Art and Literature Publishing House, Educational Books Publishing House and large- and small-sized publishing houses of universities and scientific research institutes.
