The 2nd north-south high-level talks were held at the Thongil House in the north side portion of Panmunjom on August 13 to implement the historic Panmunjom Declaration.
Present at the talks were a delegation of the north side led by Ri Son Gwon, chairman of the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of the Country of the DPRK, and a delegation of the south side with Minister of Unification Jo Myong Gyun as chief delegate.
At the talks both sides reviewed the efforts for implementing the Panmunjom Declaration and sincerely discussed the issues of implementing it more positively.
And they agreed to hold the north-south summit meeting and talks in Pyongyang within September.
