The Yonphung Scientists Holiday Camp is on the shore of picturesque Lake Yonphung in the DPRK. Scientists and technicians are calling it a golden cushion.
The holiday camp has all necessary conditions needed to cultural welfare and life.
Many scientists and technicians have spent pleasant recreation days at the camp after its completion. Among them are scientists of the Hamhung Branch of the State Academy of Sciences Ka Chang Su and Im Jin Sun, a couple who won a doctorate.
When they were informed of their first-term recreation, they could not get to sleep for joy. During their recreation, they could lead a happy life while taking exercises like folk games, table-tennis and badminton and having a good meal.
The Yonphung Scientists Holiday Camp was built on the initiative of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un. He chose the site on the spot and gave a detailed guidance to build it as a monumental edifice.
Going round the completed holiday camp in October Juche 103 (2014), he highly appreciated that it was built as an icon of the times in the style and content to be handed down to posterity. And he stressed the need to let scientists relieve their pent-up fatigue through good rest there.
