South Korean people from all walks of life strongly demand reformation of the prosecution.
On September 26, professors in Busan had a press conference to make public a declaration on the situation, in demand of reform of the prosecution.
The prosecution has served as a faithful servant of the successive regimes as it is a group of controlling criminal process, the declaration condemned.
This illegal process should be destroyed by reforming the prosecution and true democracy would be realized through it, the declaration stressed.
Meantime, 7 800 people from literature, art, religious and education circles, people of various circles and overseas Koreans held a signature campaign in demand of reformation of the prosecution in Gwangju.
One million people of all social standings held a candlelight rally in Seoul on September 28.
They shouted slogans to demand reform of the prosecution.
