Pyongyang, May 27 (KCNA) — The south Korean Confederation of Trade Unions (KCTU) reportedly held a news conference in Seoul on May 25 to declare a general strike for preventing a retrogressive amendment to the law on minimum wage from passing through the full-dress session of the “National Assembly”.
Speakers charged that the Environmental Labor Committee of NA railroaded the worst amendment, turning down the demand of the workers.
KCTU announced that it would go on a general strike from May 28 to check the passage of the amendment through the NA full-dress session.
