Kim Jong Il inspects the Seoul Ryu Kyong Su 105 Guards Tank Division of the KPA

Kim Jong Il, chairman of the DPRK National Defense Commission, who started his Songun-based leadership by visiting the Seoul Ryu Kyong Su 105 Guards Tank Division of the KPA on August 25, 1960, 52 years ago, inspected the division on several occasions.
In obedience to President Kim Il Sung’s counterattack, the tankmen entered Seoul first after the third day of the war, when the United States ignited the Korean War on June 25, 1950. The President upgraded the then 105 brigade into the division and conferred the Seoul Guards Tank Division on it in high appreciation of its combat feat.
Chairman Kim Jong Il’s inspection of the division in the beginning of the 2010 showed his invariable will to push ahead the socialist cause on the strength of Songun in the future, too.
He watched the military drill of the tankmen in the biting cold for a good chunk of time. The tankmen drove their tanks like angry waves to destroy the enemy line with merciless firepower with an inflexible fighting spirit if the aggressors violate their territory even an inch.
Saying that the Seoul Ryu Kyong Su 105 Guards Tank Division has been brave in the battles and strong in ideology, socialist Korea has won a series of victories in the face of trials and challenges of all description as it has powerful units such as the 105 division, he noted.
Kim Jong Un, supreme commander of the Korean People’s Army, visited the Seoul Ryu Kyong Su 105 Guards Tank Division of the KPA on the significant New Year’s day to congratulate the servicepersons.
Reflecting the ardent reverence of all the servicepersons, the officers and men of the division offered New Year greetings to the respected Supreme Commander who visited their post, carrying with him the warm love of leader Kim Jong Il, with the thought of the feelings of the soldiers who have greeted the New Year in tears.
After receiving a salute, he, kindly taking the hands of the commanding officers, said that he wished to see comrades who would spend days in tears after the loss of Kim Jong Il. He told them to put forth their strength.
105 Tank Division is one of the units associated with more relics about the leadership of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il than any other units, he noted, calling upon the officers and men of the division to prepare themselves to be a group of stalwart fighters, cherishing deep in their mind the efforts of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il who devoted their all to developing the tank force of the country.
He had a photo session with the officers and men of the division. The photo impressed the world people as it showed his profound intention to be a closer comrade arm in arm and shoulder to shoulder with the army.
