Eighth April Spring People’s Art Festival, a Crowd-Puller

The Eighth April Spring People’s Art Festival went on at theatres and houses of culture in the capital city of Pyongyang on April 17.

Officials, working people and youth and students in the city enjoyed the performances.

Entertainers from South Hwanghae and Kangwon provinces gave performances respectively at the Ponghwa Art Theatre and the Pyongyang Grand Theatre.

They vividly depicted that the whole career of President Kim Il Sung, who was born as a son of working people in a straw-thatched house with low-angle rafters in Mangyongdae, was run through with the idea of “The people are God.”

Members of art groups from across the country gave their performances at the East Pyongyang Grand Theatre and the Central Youth Hall.

Meanwhile, magicians and amateur magicians gave a magic show at the Magic Theatre of the National Acrobatic Troupe, giving pleasure, optimism and laughter to the audience.
