Joint National Meeting of KCU Organizations Held

A joint national meeting of the Korean Children’s Union (KCU) organizations was held in celebration of the 72nd anniversary of its founding at the plaza of the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun on June 6.
It was attended by delegates to the celebrations of the 72nd founding anniversary of the KCU and schoolchildren in Pyongyang.

Invited were Choe Hwi, vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, Jon Kwang Ho, vice-premier of the Cabinet, Kim Sung Du, chairman of the Education Commission, officials concerned and officials of the youth league.
All the participants paid tribute to the portraits of beaming President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il.
Pak Chol Min, first secretary of the Central Committee of the Kimilsungist-Kimjongilist Youth League, made a report.
He said that the history covered by the KCU, a massive political organization of the Korean children, was the one of love and trust by the great leaders and Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un who called the children the kings of the country and regarded the work for the coming generation as the most important affair of the Party and the state.
He called upon all the KCU members to firmly prepare themselves to be able revolutionaries who are knowledgeable, morally sound and physically strong, and reliable reserves for building a powerful socialist country.
He also stressed the need for them to cherish deep in mind the pride and honour of being the members of Kim Il Sung‘s and Kim Jong Il‘s children’s union, Kim Jong Un‘s children’s organization, and dynamically advance flying high the flag of the KCU under the guidance of Kim Jong Un.
Then, speeches were made.
