KPISF Commanding Officers Tour Revolutionary Battle Sites in Mt Paektu Area

Commanding officers of the Korean People’s Internal Security Forces (KPISF) toured the revolutionary battle sites in the Mt Paektu Area from January 20 to 28.
They departed Hyesan and arrived in Pochonbo, where they placed a floral basket and bouquets before the statue of President Kim Il Sung on the shore of Karim Stream and made a bow to him.
Looking round the command post of the Battle of Pochonbo, police sub-station, sub-county office and other places in the Pochonbo Revolutionary Battle Site, they learned the immortal revolutionary exploits of Kim Il Sung who heralded the dawn of national liberation for the Korean people groaning under the rule of the Japanese military occupation.
After visiting the Rimyongsu Revolutionary Site and Chongbong and Konchang bivouacs, they arrived at Chairman Kim Jong Il‘s birthplace in the Paektusan Secret Camp and looked round the historical mementoes preserved there, recalling his revolutionary career.
They arrived at the Monument to the Victorious Battle of Musan Area through the Mupho Bivouac where the President had put forward an operational policy for the advance into the Taehongdan area, and went round the statue of Kim Il Sung and large group sculptures of subsidiary themes.
They also visited the Paektusan Hero Youth Power Station.
They had a meeting to pledge to be loyal to the guidance of Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un at the Samjiyon Grand Monument.
During the tour, they handed over farming materials to agricultural workers who have turned out in the preparations for the new year’s farming to have a bumper crop of potatoes, and gave helping hands to the builders at the construction sites in the township area of Samjiyon County.
They held colourful political and cultural events during the tour.
