Strategic Slogan for Korean People

Today, the slogan “Let us live our own way!” advanced four decades ago serves as a militant banner which greatly inspires the Korean people to the struggle for hitting the targets of the five-year strategy for national economic development.
The Workers’ Party of Korea has consistently maintained the principle of solving all the problems arising in the revolution and construction in the interests of the Korean people and by their own efforts.
President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il resolved all the problems arising in the revolution and construction–party, state and army building–in an original way to meet the specific situation of the country, free from the established theories and methods, and braved all trials and difficulties in reliance on the strength of the Korean people. They also realized the unbreakable single-hearted unity of the whole society without equal in the world and laid solid foundations for the self-reliant defence capabilities and the self-supporting economy.
The above-said slogan is a powerful ideological weapon which hardens the independent faith of the Korean people to the full.
The Juche idea demands to strictly adhere to the principle of establishing Juche in ideology, independence in politics, self-sufficiency in the economy and self-reliance in national defence. Revolution means independence and Juche. If one blindly follows others without any sense of his own, the revolution is bound to undergo turns and twists and, in the long run, fail to avoid frustration.
In the long course of carving out and advancing the revolution under the banner of the Juche idea, the Korean people have keenly realized the truth that the victorious advance of the revolution and the prosperity of their country and nation could be firmly guaranteed by living and fighting their own way—the only way for their survival.
The slogan is the fundamental source which enables the Korean people to give free rein to their mental strength of self-reliance and fortitude.
A country or a nation without the spirit of self-reliance cannot take even a single step forward in the current world where national egoism and dominationism are rampant.
The Korean people ushered in a golden age of the era of the Workers’ Party, turned the Arduous March into the march to building a paradise and brought about mega events of national significance in succession by their own efforts by giving fullest play to the mental strength of national self-sustenance and single-hearted unity.
In the wake of having wound up the 70-day and 200-day campaigns with flying colours in recent years, they are launching a continuous offensive to make big strides in attaining the goals of the five-year strategy for national economic development. These world-startling, shining victories and achievements are the valuable outcome of their patriotic devotion and the revolutionary spirit of self-reliance.
The slogan also serves as the banner of struggle which encourages the Korean people to advance vigorously in order to bring earlier their rosy future.
They are now making steady efforts to create better life, taking their cue from the preceding generations of the revolution. They are stepping up the drive to put the national economy on a Juche-oriented, modern, IT and scientific basis, while paying due attention to science and education for the country’s sustainable and long-term development. Many monumental structures are being built on the principle of taking responsibility for the safety of the project and guaranteeing its absolute quality for all eternity. “Compete with the world, challenge the world and beat the world!”—this is their fighting spirit and creativity to bring closer the bright future.
They will as ever launch a dynamic struggle to win final victory in the building of a socialist power, holding aloft the slogan “Let us live our own way!”
  1. I mean, it's not a particularly creative slogan. It works, I guess, but it's not great.

  2. To explain further, it gets the point across, but it doesn't feel very fresh or new. Maybe make it a bit catchier.
